Stephen Tointon FCA - PARTNER
Born in 1959. Educated Horncastle Grammar School and Trent Polytechnic. Qualified in 1984. Very much a hands on general practitioner dealing directly with a wide variety of business clients and has been involved with many business start-ups. Within the office also acts as overall quality control partner for the practice.
Stephen is married to Melanie. He has a wide range of sporting interests, especially golf and also enjoys travel and cars. A life-long Everton fan as well as a Lincoln City season ticket holder which must say something about loyalty and knowing his own mind.

Roger White ACA - PARTNER
Born 1965, educated in Glamorgan, South Wales and at the University of Reading, before commencing a training contract with Grant Thornton, specialising in the audit of large family and public companies. Moved to Lincolnshire in 1991 and became a partner in January 1998. Now specialises in accounting services, audits and taxation of family owned companies and unincorporated businesses.
Roger is married to Vera and has two children. He has spent many years as a school governor and a treasurer of a sports fund-raising group.

Richard Welsh ACA - PARTNER
Having graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1992, Richard moved to Lincoln and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Initial experience gained with a National Practice, combined with joining Saul Fairholm & Co in 2001, has helped develop a practical outlook to dealing with a wide range of clients of all sizes, including Pension Schemes and Charities. Strongly believes in providing timely, understandable advice and working closely with owner/managers of businesses in an enthusiastic way.
Married to Jo and having a young family keeps Richard busy outside of work. He does however still find time to play tennis, snooker and golf. Although standards may not be too high it is the taking part that matters!

Colin Gayler - ASSOCIATE
Having spent the earlier years of his professional career in practice in London, Colin moved to Lincoln in 1979. He spent many years as a partner of a national firm of Chartered Accountants, developing, along with others, a substantial three office practice. Apart from practice development, Colin’s principal activities are advising on taxation and corporate finance matters. Over the years he has developed a reputation and a substantial client portfolio within the leisure and entertainment sector. In addition he continues to offer proactive advice to his varied portfolio of clients, as well as advising on business acquisitions and disposals.
Colin is married to Jennifer and apart from business interests, he enjoys golf, travel and being with his granddaughter.

Antony Voakes CTA ATT - TAX PARTNER
Born in 1974, Antony initially trained with PKF and Baker Tilly before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers as Corporate Tax Manager, dealing with the tax affairs of several household name plcs. Antony qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1999 and is also a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. He deals with all areas of direct taxation for the practice but his particular specialities lie in tax mitigation planning, disposal planning and the taxation of companies.
Antony loves spending time with his daughter and is an avid fan of most sports, especially football, cricket and rugby. He also enjoys playing golf and squash and has been known to saunter onto the football field from time to time.

Neil McDowall ACIB – Associate
Born in 1954. Educated at North Kesteven Grammar School, Neil has spent more years than he wishes to remember with NatWest Bank working with Business clients for over 25 years. His career in the Bank took him to Hull, Beverley, Huddersfield and Leeds before returning home to his native City in 1995. Joining Saul Fairholm in June 2008 he brings a wealth of business experience to prominently support and further develop their business advice and consultancy, corporate finance and grant services..
Neil is married to Joan and has 2 boys, enjoys golf , travel and is a keen follower of cricket and football..
